MicroPVT는 다양한 온도 조건과 가압환경 하에서 액체 시료의 체적변화를 측정함으로써 액체의 물리적, 열역학적인 유변물성을 결정하고자 개발되었습니다 (p.V.T diagram).

Complex Fluid Analysis

Physical, rheological and thermodynamic properties of a fluid are determined by measuring the change pressure of a sample under applied volume change and at different temperatures: the p,V,T diagram.

By this method, a fluid's fingerprint can be taken.

The MicroPVT can also be used as high pressure capillary viscometer at pressures up to 5,000 bar (72,000 psi).

The MicroPVT is able to take a fluid's fingerprint within 30 minutes.

Density, compression ratio, bulk modulus and viscosity are just a few of the data which can be measured with this instrument.

With the MicroPVT, one can do complex fluid analysis, for example: high pressure viscosity, hydrate formation and wax crystallisation behaviour, paraffin content, density function, etc.

The MicroPVT has been developed to determine the physical, rheological and thermodynamic properties of fluids by measuring the change in volume of a sample under applied pressure.

These measurements can be performed at a range of temperatures to provide the volume to pressure relationship as a function of temperature.

The MicroPVT analyser is a small sized, light and safe measuring unit. The required sample volume is just 10 ml.

Based on the V(P) data one can calculate:

  • pressure function
  • relative volume
  • specific volume
  • density
  • derivatives aV/0P and 0P/0V
  • compression ratio
  • bulk modulus
  • strain relaxation times
  • viscosity

  • Testing of oils (hydraulic oil, crude oil, lubricants) and other fluids
