The GC203-238 Three and Four Point Bend Fixture is designed to meet ASTM C203 for testing flexural strength of block-type thermal insulation and cellular plastics. ASTM C203 outlines two tests for meeting this standard: simple supported beam with centered load and simple supported beam with two loads symmetric from centerline. The edges of the fixture, bearing the load, are required to be cylindrical in shape and must fit straight and perpendicular to the test specimen. The edges must also self-align to maintain complete contact with the specimen through the test.
