Meets ASTM C947 & C158. ASTM requires a specific radius of curvature for the anvils of the test fixture. The anvils must also be of high strength steel as to not deform when the load is applied to the test specimen. Finally, the device must be symmetrical so that the fixture is balanced when the load is applied.
