G50 family of 90 peel tables consist of a sample loading table mounted on bearings. The lateral movement of the table is directly connected to your test machine crosshead by a cable and pulley system and optional mechanical test machine adapters. The majority of the test specimen is clamped or attached to the table surface and the other end held by a standard grip mounted to the machine crosshead. As the crosshead or actuator moves, the cable transfers that movement to the peel table which moves laterally. The typical setup maintains a constant angle for the 90 degree peel, which prevents extraneous forces on the specimen. The force required to peel the specimen is then monitored by the test machine
