ASTM D2979 describes test fixtures used in determining the adhesive tack properties using an inverted probe machine. GD2979-692 meets these requirements. The test fixture consists of a stainless steel probe, annular pressure loading weight, and a spring device with an indicator to serve as a force gauge.
